Teams use savvy design skills, combined with 3D printers, a laser cutter, and common tools, to build these design solutions. At the end of the day, races come down to the team which can use hot glue and rubber bands to help support parts warped by water.

We even had a student throw everything at his design including the "kitchen handle". No, not the sink. He must have misunderstood this saying. He literally put a kitchen cabinet handle on the front of his boat to act as a counterweight, balancing the motor and battery on the other end. "Way to get a grip on things Josh".
